FPSO Static Tow and Operability Engineering Scope

Woodside Petroleum’s Okha floating, production storage and offloading (FPSO) facility.

ONA Consultants has been contracted by an energy major to undertake position keeping engineering for an FPSO on the North West Shelf, Australia. The work scope included modelling and operability assessments of the FPSO on the connected turret and mooring system, under the influence of a multitude of probable sea states.

ONA has developed robust methods and tools for undertaking position keeping work and prides itself in developing marine operational engineering that can be relied upon to support simple and effective decision making. The Perth team worked collaboratively with the client to deliver the scope quickly and efficiently resulting in well received outcomes.

Since 2006, ONA has performed numerous position keeping and mooring installations scopes. ONA holds a comprehensive database of models including vessel hydrodynamics, riser and mooring components. As the marine engineering contractor of choice in Perth, ONA also performed similar scopes for Shell Prelude FLNG and the Inpex Ichthys CPF.
